BLMSKC is intentional about building collective power by ensuring that those most affected are not just participants, but the architects of our movement for change. We are committed to maintaining a community focused lens in all our operations. Our leadership prioritizes the inclusion of, queer, and trans individuals, as well as those with disabilities, reflecting the communities we serve.
This approach is not just symbolic, it shapes the way we organize, advocate, and build programs, ensuring that those most impacted by oppression are leading the fight against it. By continuously fostering and supporting leaders with lived experience, we are building an organization that is accountable to and reflective of the people who are on the front lines of these struggles.
Programs
BLMSKC continues to strengthen its commitment to empowering Black and Brown communities through intentional programs and services. This year we are focusing on laying the groundwork for impactful initiatives aimed at community engagement, trust-building, and advocacy.
